Tonight's program is a continuation of July 24, which was inspired by the John McGann tribute at the Cantab a few weeks ago when Darol Anger, Brittany Haas, Bruce Molsky, Mark Simos, Matt Glaser and Sam Grisman graced the stage for a spectacular set. The program will feature the Celtic/Old-Time/Bluegrass fiddle, as solo, duo, trio and in stringband ensemble. There is so much good fiddle music out there we need another night.
Alan Kaufman will be my guest by phone.
Featuring fiddlers (in no particular order) include
Sue Cunningham (brand new Rowan-Cunningham Band album picked up at Grey Fox)
Julie Metcalf, Liz Davis Maxfield, Hannah Read & Ivonne Hernandez (Folk Arts Quartet)
Andy Reiner (BMUZ, Dangerous Gentlemen)
Cedar Stanistreet (Noreaster)
Daniel Accardi, Armand Aromin & Caroline O'Shea (The Ivy Leaf)
Trent Freeman, Ivonne Hernandez, Karrnnel Sawitsky & Eric Wright (The Fretless)
and many more....
